An action is like a performance because I’m doing something theatrical for your viewing and response. However, an action is not a performance because I am not assuming a guise or becoming a character.

Instead, I am simply doing something that I don’t normally do to inspire audiences for an alternative perspective on common occurrences. I'm exploring the meaning of my action as it unfolds, and I'm seeking transformation and insight through the acts themselves. I want you and I to learn something new about the world through my actions.

The images of my actions are only important in so much as it helps you to understand what occurred. Aesthetics are not enough and my action is not complete if it does not interact with you and my environment in some way.
